Serve Your Church
There are many ways you can serve at FUMC Henrietta. If you have special talents or interests, take a look at the areas below that need volunteers and choose what suits you.
Thank you for your gifts of heart and time!
Audio/Visual – assist with sound booth, microphones, recording sermons, running computer for screen and controlling lights primarily for Sunday, but possibly for funerals or special events. Training is provided, so experience not necessary.
Communion Steward – assist with setup, cleanup, and serving of Holy Communion each month on a rotating basis.
Extended Table – take Holy Communion each month to those who cannot be in worship.
First Wednesday Dinner – help provide the meal for our once-per-month fellowship gathering.
JAM – assist with snacks or program for Wednesday evening children’s ministry.
Liturgist – help lead worship on a rotation basis.
Meal Ministry – provide meals for congregation members on such occasions as bereavement, new babies, illnesses, etc.
Music Ministries – including choir, children’s choir, and solo/duet opportunities.
Pastor Prayer Partner – willing to pray for pastor in preparation of sermons or regarding special requests.
Sanctuary Team – assist with set-up and take-down of altar rails and visuals for worship.
Shepherding Team (NEW) – assist with keeping in touch with church families through monthly contact and prayer
Sunday Morning Team – assist with greeting and ushering on an ongoing, periodic, or fill-in basis.
Sunday School Teacher – ages 2-adult, in a monthly rotation with other teacher(s). Please indicate age interested in teaching:
Visitation Ministry (ROSE program) visit those who cannot come to church (especially those in nursing and retirement homes).
Youth Volunteer – willing to assist with various opportunities for youth. Opportunities might include to provide a periodic meal or snack for our UMYF meetings, help with transportation, host an event, help lead a Bible study or give a short devotion, assist with mission project or fundraiser.
